With a PV Matrix, Unigrace Made a Wonderful Appearance at SNEC


On June 13, the SNEC PV+ 17th (2024) International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition grandly kicked off at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). This annual event has once again attracted global attention and become a wind vane for the development of the technical route, equipment manufacturing, market positioning and application mode of the PV industry. With a full range of silicon wafer and ingot products, Unigrace showcased efficient products and solutions in the fields of N-type silicon wafer manufacturing and power station at SNEC.

 

 

Unigrace has set foot in developing and producing N-type silicon wafers since its establishment in May 2019. At this exhibition, Unigrace displayed a full range of N-type silicon wafer products, including those of five dominant sizes, namely 182*210, 182*183.75, 182.2*191.6, 210*210, and 210*105, which can fully meet the requirement for customization at different cell manufacturers. At present, Unigrace maintains solid cooperative relationships with many module companies in the industry, and its cell products are widely used in the construction of various PV power stations.

 

Innovative application of “N+1” gettering technology reduces concentric circles and extends the minority carrier lifetime of silicon wafers

 

 

For HJT: The key silicon wafer is distinguished by the ingot, and the low-temperature quick-gettering technology is adopted for the avoidance of any concentric circles. It has no negative impact with double-sided gettering, enjoying short high-temperature time and flexible adjustment. For TOPCon: The gettering in the high oxygen zone at the head and the higher oxygen zone at the tail of the ingot can significantly reduce type-1 concentric circles and improve cell efficiency. The gettering in the low oxygen zone at the middle of the ingot can reduce type-2 and type-3 concentric circles and improve cell efficiency.

 

High resistivity concentration doping technology

 

By starting with ingots, Unigrace has collected sequential wafers and made clear a precise correspondence between the resistivity and the electrical performance of the cell. P-type cells can achieve higher efficiency with appropriate low resistance, but the minimum resistance shall be reasonably controlled to prevent any Voc loss of the cells. N-type cells are compatible with different resistance ranges and achieve higher efficiency and lower attenuation.

 

Large thermal field application

 

The yield of G12 silicon ingot with a 36-inch thermal field can exceed 200 KG, with an interstitial oxygen content below 10 ppma. The Company has developed a 40-inch N-type thermal field product with ultra-low oxygen content below 8 ppma, using high-speed exhaust and magnetic field control technology. It meets the requirements of TOPCon/XBC and other customers for concentric circles and focuses on reducing invisible concentric circles, contributing to better cell yield and efficiency.

 

210 “small golden brick”

 

Using non-destructive cutting technology, the Company has achieved the mass production of the 110-μm 210 small golden brick and broken the 90-μm barrier in thinness. It has set itself apart from the peers with its small golden bricks, featuring a higher area utilization rate, higher conversion efficiency and lower fragmentation rate.
